The Bulgarian Ship Hydrodynamics Centre (BSHC) is a national research and development Institute to the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS), performing fundamental and applied researches, tests, numerical modeling and analyses in the field of the ship hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, ocean engineering, coastal engineering, environment protection, water transport, defence etc. in service of the society.

The first BSHC’ professors!

As an outcome of the officially announced nation-wide competition, a professional jury constituted amongst highly recognized specialists in Marine Sciences conferred on November 02, 2011 the academic position of Professor in Naval Architecture to the well-known long standing research scientists at Bulgarian Ship Hydrodynamics Centre - Dr. Evgeny Milanov (for his works in the field of Ship Manoeuvring) and Dr. Rumen Kishev (for his works in the field of Ship Seakeeping and Ocean Engineering).

The certificates of the two newly promoted professors have been handed to them at official ceremony held at BAS premises by the President of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – Academician Prof. Nikola Sabotinov.
