The first BSHC’ professors!

As an outcome of the officially announced nation-wide competition, a professional jury constituted amongst highly recognized specialists in Marine Sciences conferred on November 02, 2011 the academic position of Professor in Naval Architecture to the well-known long standing research scientists at Bulgarian Ship Hydrodynamics Centre - Dr. Evgeny Milanov (for his works in the field of Ship Manoeuvring) and Dr. Rumen Kishev (for his works in the field of Ship Seakeeping and Ocean Engineering).

The certificates of the two newly promoted professors have been handed to them at official ceremony held at BAS premises by the President of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences – Academician Prof. Nikola Sabotinov.

On 20-th of July 2010 passed away

Dr. PETAR ATANASSOV BOGDANOV

One of the motive powers of the Bulgarian shipbuilding, initiator, founder and first Director of the Bulgarian Ship Hydrodynamics Centre, devoted all his live, inexhaustible forces and skills to the conquest of a worthy position amongst European and World research space, leaved ineradicable his part in all people, who have worked with him.
We will keep Dr. Bogdanov in our hearts!
He will live in us!
We are deeply sorrowing with his family!
We bow before his bright memory!
