The Centre collaborates with recognized R&D institutions and businesses worldwide. BSHC has participated in a number of cooperative research projects (some of them under EU and NATO programs).

BSHC is a member of international professional organizations, such as:

• International Towing Tank Conference (ITTC)
• International Maritime Association of the Mediterranean (IMAM)
• National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of Bulgaria
• Union of Scientists of Bulgaria
• Scientific and Technical Unions - Varna

BSHC maintains close contacts with all Bulgarian Universities and R&D organizations, as well as with Bulgarian businesses related to marine engineering.
